The core structural characteristics of women's blazers center on designs that conform to the female silhouette, distinguishing them sharply from the boxy, straight-cut tailoring of men's wear. These characteristics can be categorized as follows:

Silhouette and Tailoring
They primarily feature an X-shaped, form-fitting silhouette. By increasing the intake of bust and waist darts, the design precisely accentuates the natural curves of the bust, waist, and hips. "Princess seams" are frequently used to integrate darts into vertical panel lines, creating a smooth, three-dimensional shape while avoiding visible dart marks.

Shoulder and Collar Details
Natural shoulders or thin shoulder pads are commonly used, with the shoulder point set inward to avoid the broad, boxy, right-angled shoulders typical of men's wear. Notched lapels predominate, with a width of 6–7 cm-narrower than men's versions. The buttoning position is set 3–4 cm higher than in men's wear, and the hem is often curved.

Sleeve Structure
A two-piece sleeve construction is standard. The sleeve cap height is increased by 2 cm relative to the basic pattern; the front sleeve cap slope corresponds to the front armhole (AH) measurement, while the back slope corresponds to the back AH plus 1 cm. The sleeve vent is approximately 8 cm long, balancing ease of movement with a crisp, structured appearance.

Fit Categories
Styles generally fall into three categories: X-shaped (fitted) for formal professional settings; H-shaped (loose) for casual or smart-casual occasions; and oversized for a trendy, relaxed look. The H-shape offers the greatest versatility in flattering various body types.

Detailing
Elements such as pockets and buttonholes are designed with greater refinement, often incorporating functional pockets alongside chic decorative details. The back typically features side vents or a ventless design-replacing the center-back double vents common in men's wear-to balance ease of movement with clean, fluid lines.
